New website?
I have been thinking recently about moving this blog to my own website. There is a few reasons why.
- I'd like to push myself to get creative with this blog, with making a fully functional website (with this blog in it). I want to be able to upload images, videos, and put pushable buttons, links and such. I want it to feel like it was handcrafted by me, for me. I have been looking over personal blogs, and some of them absolutely amaze. Some are simple and elegant, others complex and diverse. I want to carve out my own vision.
- I also want to try to get into HTML a bit, enough to make and maintain a website. I want to develop a useful skill in this day and age. Bearblog is great for that minimal look, design, implementation, and function, but I also want to expand my know-how. I have been looking at Neocities, it seems to have a HTML editor built in. Maybe I move this to that for a while, until I can make my own from scratch (if I ever get there).
- I also want a site for my own. Bearblog is great, but I want to be sure that I am in complete control. I want to be able to upload anything I want with no repercussion. Not to say that Bearblog would banhammer me. But, I want to be able to not have to worry or think about it.
